My foundation is in academic medicine – I qualified from Royal Free and University College London before training as a specialist surgeon across London and the West Midlands. That pathway led me to the National Oncoplastic Breast Fellowship, the UK’s most competitive postgraduate qualification in breast reconstructive surgery. Each year it is awarded to only a small number of breast and plastic surgeons through national selection, and it reflects a level of technical expertise that goes beyond standard surgical training.
I take research seriously; with over 70 peer-reviewed publications to my name helping direct best practice in the field and have a hand in shaping national clinical guidance, I stay at the forefront of advances in breast surgery – so that what I offer patients reflects the very best current evidence.
The National Oncoplastic Breast Fellowship
The National Oncoplastic Breast Fellowship is widely regarded as the gold standard in breast reconstructive training in the UK. Awarded annually to a small number of breast and plastic surgeons by competitive selection, it represents the highest level of specialist training available in oncoplastic and reconstructive breast surgery. This fellowship underpins my ability to offer the full spectrum of techniques – from therapeutic mammoplasty and nipple-sparing mastectomy through to immediate implant-based and flap-based reconstruction.

I am committed to advancing breast surgery through rigorous research and clinical audit. I have authored and co-authored over 70 peer-reviewed publications covering breast cancer surgery, oncoplastic techniques, reconstruction, and surgical education. I have contributed to national clinical guidance on breast surgery standards and am a steering member of several breast surgery research groups. I serve on the UK Association of Breast Surgery Clinical Practice and Standards Committee – the national body that sets best-practice guidelines for breast surgery across the United Kingdom.
